LG Electronics won a certification from Guinness World Records for an outdoor billboard it installed in King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. LG Electronics received the award jointly with the world’s largest outdoor advertising company JCDecaux and King Khalid International Airport.
The billboard that was certified as the world’s biggest is 250 meters in width and 12 meters in length. As it is made of 1,800 tons of steel beams and wooden structures, it is capable of withstanding harsh sandstorms and large daily temperature fluctuations.
"This project is a remarkable achievement for our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said David Bourg, Chairman of JCDecaux ATA and CEO JCDecaux Middle East. "This efficient and well-coordinated initiative benefited from JCDecaux’s expertise to overcome a number of technical challenges. It also underlines our commitment to adding value for our partners and enhancing the passenger experience through creativity, innovation and seamless implementation.”
Reza is proud of this global recognition of the achievements of the team at JCDecaux ATA and for their striving for innovation.
